08. Bhangarh Fort, Rajasthan, India
Built in the 17th century, the boundaries of this fort encompass the ruins of an entire city. At one time the palaces, temples, and homes were home to thousands. The population died during an invasion said to be the result of a curse. Locals and visitors report feelings of unseen forces watching or follow them, and strange smells and sounds. Entry into these historic remains in Rajasthan in India is not allowed after dark.
